DMS Wetland Area

Dunloggin Middle School (DMS)'s wetland area is diverse ecosystem that provides home to many animals and fish. You can see crayfish, minnows, tadpoles, frogs, and if you are lucky, garter snakes! White tail deer frequently visit the area and live there. It is also a fantastic community area. People walk their dogs, kids play in the stream, and classes learn outside, often in the Outdoor Classroom.

The DMS Wetland Area was founded in 2005 by the seventh graders at that time. From there, on every year seventh graders have constantly gone to the wetlands area to restore it and to do general maintenance. These activities are part of the science classes that the seventh graders take.
